Jobs: Dream Jobs

It is time for you to begin thinking about what you would like to do in the future. You may already have a plan of what you want to do, you may end up sticking with that plan or you may change it - there is still a lot of time to decide what job you would like to have in the future. What is important is that you start thinking about possible career choices.

Over the next few lessons, we are going to work with jobs.

Today we will talk about what kinds of jobs there are and why we work.

Watch the clip below and fill out the form given to you.

Discussion!
Work in groups.
Talk about the questions below:

At what age do people usually begin to work in your country? At what age do they retire?
-Do you think it is more important to make a lot of money or to enjoy your job?
-What are some prestigious occupations in your opinion?
-What makes people work? (Why do we work?)
- What is your dream job and why?

Pick one of the job titles from the list and describe it as well as you can to your classmate without saying the actual word. Have your classmate guess which job you are describing. Take turns describing and guessing.
