Theatre and the English lesson 8th of September

 Hi 12C!

Since you are going to the theatre on Tuesday, September 8th, and will be getting back quite late, we have decided to cancel the English lesson that day.

Instead, you will have a homework assignment to complete. Please answer the questions below by next Friday, September 11th.

You can either:

  • write your answers in a Word document and share it with me, or
  • bring your note book and write your answers there.

The questions are:

  1. Why did Erin Gruwell (Mrs. G) decide to become a teacher instead of a lawyer?
  2. What are some of the problems that Mrs. Gruwell faces in the beginning?
  3. How do the students in Room 203 treat each other in the beginning?
  4. In what ways do you think Wilson High School, the school in Freedom Writers, is different from your school?
  5. Are your school and the school in the movie similar in any ways? Give examples.

Try to answer the questions in full sentences and explain your thoughts as clearly as you can.

Good luck, and enjoy the theatre! 😊
